Description & Objectives

The 45th Annual Virginia Apgar Seminar will present a lecture and panel discussion program on recent advances in obstetric anesthesia. After this seminar, the seminar attendee should be able to discuss and describe advances in the practice of obstetric anesthesia, including fundamental considerations, recent advances, problems, pitfalls and maternal anesthesia challenges. This program is intended for both anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists. The program syllabus containing summaries of all talks will be available for all registrants in PDF form on a flash drive.

Accreditation

This program has been prior approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists for 20.00 Class A* CE Credits; Code Number 1036320; Expiration Date 03/17/2019. AANA designates this program as meeting the criteria for up to 7.25 CE Credits in pharmacology/therapeutics. *CRNAs may apply excess Class A required CE’s (beyond 60 per four-year cycle) to fulfill the Class B requirements. CRNAs must earn a minimum of 40 Class B credits every four-year recertification cycle.

Approved by Frank Moya Continuing Education Programs, LLC. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider number CEP 1754, for 20 contact hours; and Florida Board of Nursing, Provider Number FBN 2210 for 20 contact hours.
